Gold heart locket

This is such a precious little locket!  As I mentioned the other day, lockets have been around for centuries. Heart shaped lockets became very popular in the Victorian Era when they were given as condolences for those who had lost loved ones.  As time passed, they were more widely given as gifts and keepsakes.  Many lockets eventually became monogrammed with the initials of their owners.  This tiny heart shaped locket is beautifully romantic and traditional.  Its classic style and delicate look make it wonderful for so many reasons.  The front face has lovely engraving details on it and the heart opens up from the bottom, not from the side.  Check it out in the Etsy shop today!

I found this little gold plated locket recently and think it's so sweet!  The front face has a flower and line pattern that is classic and romantic and still completely in style for today's standards.  You can't really go wrong with a locket!  They have been around for centuries and have been used to carry everything from poisons, to hair, to ,of course, pictures.  This beauty does need a chain, but is great because of it's larger size.  It would be a nice setting for photos of your loved ones or for your favorite pet(s). :)  What kinds of pictures would you fill it with?  Stop by the shop and check it out!
